Poor Alan Rizzo. We used to send that kids pizzas so often it got to the point where the restaurants would call his house and verify before making it. Also, Safari Cards, Columbia Record House, and the Ginsu Knife Collection. Never a dull moment at the Rizzo household.

They drove there. Ban them from driving too. A strange target to make such an effort to destroy. It was about an hour drive from where we live. Had the two idiots just watched Robin Hood and taken childish offence at the historical inaccuracies? Apparently Trump(CF) was watching an Alcatraz film the day before he announced he wanted to reopen it, so TV crapola does influence! The tree was a relatively young common sycamore and hardly beloved. In fact reflecting, I'm surprised it hadn't been removed for potential damage to The Wall, a UNESCO archaeological treasure. Anyway, moving on.

@Mik said in Anybody ever get seats from Vivid Seats?: Since when is Seat Geek any more than a reseller? A lot of venues and tours have given up their own ticketing and contract it out to Seat Geek and others.

@jon-nyc said Except no, we're now paying the 10% when we buy anything British. The cost to you is reduced sales. True. Yet I'd predict that because of this international trade shitshow, my outgoings over the next year will rise more than the 5-10% they went up last year. The only winners are your Federal Government raking in new taxes, and those few who can take advantage of stock market liquidity.

The MTG stuff isn’t as obviously bad though it may well be insider trading. The more obvious stuff is people buying way out of the money calls expiring later that day and making 20x on them. Which seems to be happening ahead of news.

the US is one of the few countries that does not have a passport check upon exiting a country Yeah, when I was younger I felt slight disappointment for not being able to collect passport stamps when I leave the country.

https://www.wsj.com/us-news/education/columbia-student-protests-suspended-d5a76974 Columbia University suspended 65 students involved in a pro-Palestinian protest Wednesday that took over part of the school’s main library. The students won’t be able to take their final exams or enter campus except to access their dorms. Seniors won’t be able to participate in graduation ceremonies, a school official said. Columbia barred 33 other people from campus, including students from other colleges and alumni who took part in the protest. “When rules are violated and when our academic community is purposefully disrupted, that is a considered choice—one with real consequences,” a Columbia spokesperson said.

NItrogen FTW. LOL I know a guy who got gassed by it. He was in a refinery in Indonesia and entered a vessel that had high nitrogen. Next thing he knew, he woke up in a hospital in Singapore. Said there was absolutely no sensation of anything wrong. One minute, breathing normally......... and then remembers nothing.

I just finished watching Succession (loosely based on Fox News/Corp and Rupert Murdoch), great show… amazing music… and slightly similar to what we are seeing now.

@Axtremus But I was mentioning the exception to Horace’s post, you were simply providing an example of what Horace covered in his post.
